Re: collection
Sometime in the early summer of 2016 Benjamin had gotten in touch with me about contributing to a project consisting of various musicians/ creators performing covers of Bens work. Open ended, pick any song and do as you like. So, I approached Doug with the idea, if he had interest in the project, and he said "Sure". The tentative completion timeframe was the end of that summer or early fall. I chose this track as Ben's original intrigued me, musically, lyrically, as so many of his tracks do. The lyrics in our cover, are pared down considerably, and the resulting song is far from the original. So, upon listening to what we had come up with, Benjamin said, "it's just what I was looking for" or something to that effect. The entire collection of covers is quite enjoyable and flows, from beginning to end. Some pretty nice stuff on there. It's a great cause and we were happy to participate in such a thing.
